Merciless Funk Marines started out as an entry for the May '08 48hr Competition. Become a Merciless Funk Marine, take to your spaceship and explore new worlds through the power of music. Select a planet to explore, then go rock out with the locals. To play your instrument you need to press the correct keyboard key at the correct time.

Only the keys '9', 'I', 'J' and 'N' are used, and these correspond to the four on-screen staves. Take care, pressing any other key will likely lose you points.

MFM was written in Flash, so you will need flash player or a flash plugin before you can play it.

This game was only made in 48 hours, and so you can't expect it to be perfect (we didn't...) If you're playing full-screen in a browser (rather than stand alone flash player, or if the game is embedded inside a web page) then first stretch the window vertically so that there are no horizontal bars, otherwise the game may run slower than normal.
