Competitions are another fun way to put the game development skills we learn into practice. The name says it all in our 48 hour game development competitions - teams of up to 3 have 48 hours to build a game, with hilarious consequences! Each competition is based around a theme to inspire the setting and mechanics of a game, points are awarded for innovative design around the theme. Points mean prizes - often game companies will award a big selection of games, software and vouchers to the winning teams!
If you would like to enter a competition but think you may have trouble bringing your own computer, please email us and we'll be happy to help. Equipment can be left in the room over the weekend, there will be people around to watch over it. You aren't expected to stay for the whole 48 hours yourself, in fact (based on experience) we strongly recommend getting a sensible amount of sleep!
